The role focuses on installing, servicing, and maintaining access control systems, surveillance cameras, structured cabling, and related low‑voltage infrastructure in commercial buildings and large‑scale facilities.
Information Technology
Responsibilities
Install, service, and maintain low‑voltage systems, including:
Electronic access control devices and electrified door hardware
Surveillance cameras and video management systems
Structured cabling systems (Category cable, fiber, and low‑voltage)
Wireless access points and related security/network devices
Perform cable pathway installation and proper cable management
Test, troubleshoot, and resolve system or connectivity issues
Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite organization
Follow safety standards, jobsite protocols, and best practices
Complete installation documentation and service reports
Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and other technicians
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the security industry
Qualification
Required
1+ year experience in low‑voltage, physical security, IT, or electronics
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles
Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts)
Familiarity with access control, CCTV, and structured cabling systems
Preferred
Commercial installation experience preferred
Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, low‑voltage)
Access control platforms (Lenel, S2, Genetec, Software House, Avigilon, etc.)
Surveillance systems (IP and analog cameras, head‑end equipment)
Door hardware installation (electrified locks, strikes, crash bars, readers)
Knowledge of major door hardware manufacturers
Experience in construction or service environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
