Lead Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems)
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) is an inter-agency organization preparing the next generation of law enforcement officers. The Lead Human Resources Specialist will provide technical support and management of various HR specialties related to system processes and infrastructure supporting HR information systems.

Responsibilities
Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of all personnel actions to include pre-auditing, post-auditing, and evaluating correctness in relation to governing laws, regulations, policies and standard operating procedures
Organizing and guiding HR Assistants and Specialists in the processing of a full range of personnel actions ensuring correctness of data elements to include appointing authorities, allowances, compensation, entitlements, health and life insurance
Evaluating overall work requirements, making workload adjustments, setting priorities, establishing general methodologies, providing technical assistance in the most difficult cases, advising employees on program goals and objectives, making decisions on problems presented by employees or referring to supervisor for assistance, and ensuring that production and accuracy requirements are met
Training staff members, managers, and supervisors on various human resources information technology systems

Current DHS employees within the General Schedule (GS) must meet the time-in-grade requirements outlined in the 'Qualifications' section of this announcement
This is a non-bargaining unit position
Must possess and maintain a valid state issued driver's license to conduct official government business

This position is eligible for situational-only telework based on agency policy
This position is Emergency Essential and required to sustain FLETC's operations under all conditions
Required to complete an OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, within 30 days of starting your federal employment and annually thereafter as long as you occupy a position that requires financial disclosure reporting
You must be a current Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employee serving under a career or career-conditional appointment in the competitive service. You must submit an SF-50 that shows you currently work for DHS
A resume must be no more than two pages
You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal government
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level
All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement
Background Investigation: To ensure the accomplishment of our mission, FLETC requires every employee to be reliable and trustworthy
Physical Demands: This position is primarily sedentary in nature
Work Environment: Work is performed in an office setting
Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement

Current DHS employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment
