Claims Treatment Specialist (Pharmacy)

The Claims Treatment Specialist Pharmacy role will see you utilise your expertise as a community pharmacist to advise on medication, collaborate with prescribers, and ensure safe and appropriate treatment for injured workers.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to optimise medication and treatment management
Assess high-risk medication use and provide clinical opinions on treatment strategies
Liaise with treatment providers to negotiate medication types, dosages, and utilisation
Educate injured workers, employers, and stakeholders on medication use and risks
Identify the need for and refer to external services like Pharmacy Reviews or Independent Medical Examinations
Provide training and support to operational team members on medication management best practices

Qualification

Required

A bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is an essential for this role
5 years clinical experience required
Current registration in professional field
Demonstrated experience in clinical practice
Well established knowledge of disability and injury management best practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels

Preferred

An understanding and experience in the personal injury industry, ideally with knowledge of workers compensation legislation would be highly desirable
