Mechanical Assembler 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

Building the various assemblies and sub-assemblies that make up the initial components in our TWTs
Follow detailed process instructions to put together small TWT sub-assemblies
Using a variety of hand tools, fixtures, measuring devices
Operate furnaces
Ensure that quality, cost, and production goals are met

Required

Must be able to accurately read blueprints, assembly instructions, and other related documentation
Experience using basic hand tools
20/20 eyesight (corrected) and good hand-eye coordination are necessary, along with the ability to work with small parts and hand tools under a microscope for extended periods of time
Good math skills to carry out basic calculations and measurements are required
A high school diploma or equivalent is needed
1-3 years of operations or manufacturing-related work experience, general knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and procedures
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (e.g. Green Card holder), or a protected individual as defined by the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR)

Preferred

Previous precision mechanical assembly experience
Computer data input skills are helpful
Knowledge of the use of torque tools, feeler gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators is a plus
Knowledge of foreign object debris (FOD) control and tool control processes is desirable
Experience working in a clean room is helpful
