Responsibilities
Oversee daily departmental workflows, including decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, endoscopy, inventory management, and case pick functions
Manage the technical activities of all departmental employees supporting the reprocessing of medical and surgical equipment
Ensure items are assembled in accordance with established policies and procedures
Actively manage infection control processes, sterility assurance, and equipment/instrumentation availability to ensure patient safety
Coordinate and direct daily activities to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Certification in Registered Central Service Technician (CRSCT) required
Certification in Endoscope Preprocessor (CER) required
Preferred
Associate's Degree preferred
Minimum five years of experience in central sterile, with at least two years of leadership experience preferred
