Responsibilities
Conduct credit analysis and help a deal team seek approval for lending and trading related transactions, including operating exposures, individually or as part of a deal team
Create written credit approval documents, which include the spreading and presentation of historical financial statement information and the related financial analysis, as well as projections of future cash flows for large corporate borrowers
Develop a well-informed and forward-looking view of the business, financial and risks associated with a company and sector
Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures, across industry classes, on an ongoing basis
Participate in negotiating, finalizing, and executing documentation for loans and derivatives
Review and assign risk ratings and maintains updated credit ratings on their portfolio of clients
Work with Investment Banking Coverage, Commercial Banking Coverage and Global Corporate Banking on allocation of capital for clients; maintain threshold and industry limits
Qualification
Required
Finance, Accounting, Economics Degree or equivalent
Outstanding verbal and written communication, along with strong inter-personal skills
Preferred
Academic training in the principals of accounting, corporate finance, capital markets products, and macro economics
Ability to work well in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Prior experience with Real Estate underwriting
