Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and develop optimized solutions (configuration, performance, economics, cost, schedule) during the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) process in collaboration with sales and commercial teams
Interpret customer requirements and define scope of supply, including cost and cycle input for technical proposals
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including maintenance and development of Technical Application Guidelines (TAGs)
Own the technical execution of CM&U orders/projects, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and downstream activities
Resolve technical issues that arise during project execution
Use standardized tools and processes to establish and manage project structures across enterprise systems
Develop and manage engineering and drafting schedules using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, controlling changes throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure timely demand placement for engineered parts to support outages, installations, and service activities
Author Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) and other technical documentation
Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Vendors, and Service organizations to ensure project success
Track project schedules and budgeted engineering hours, addressing deviations proactively
Support global and domestic team members with technical expertise
Respond accurately and promptly to technical inquiries using design data, historical reports, and expert input
Complete project closeout activities, capturing lessons learned to drive continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field (or equivalent knowledge and professional experience)
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an occasional basis (less than 10%)
Preferred
A solution-driven mindset with strong ownership as an individual contributor
Ability to understand, adapt, and anticipate major equipment interactions within a power plant
Experience with legacy and modern gas turbine technologies
Knowledge of gas turbine product portfolios and requisition processes
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced, global, cross-functional environment
Willingness to challenge the status quo and drive better technical and customer outcomes
Excellent interpersonal and influencing abilities
