Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
Observe machines and equipment for malfunction and works in tandem with the maintenance team to troubleshoot issues
Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, Capital project management, and employee training for multiple projects with a varying range of complexity
Develop and improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency
Improve systems of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training
Prepare detailed layouts of buildings and equipment
Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised manufactured parts and equipment
Recommend and implement new approaches, tools, and techniques that drive continuous improvement in pump manufacturing processes
Cost justify tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
Perform process analysis for safety and ergonomic improvement, cost reduction, quality improvements, and improved efficiencies
Maintain detailed knowledge of conventional and NC/CNC manufacturing equipment and time standards techniques, and observe work in these areas as needed
Assist on S.P.C. projects to provide product or process feasibility and complete various assigned capital research and development programs
Represents the Value Stream on cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or similar and 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment using Continuous Improvement and Lean principles
In absence of a bachelor's degree, an associates degree or technical certificate and ten years of related engineering and manufacturing experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to manage multiple projects in a systematic and orderly manner
Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions
Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person
Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use
General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment
Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers and all levels of corporate and company personnel
Requires frequent contact with personnel from all departments and at all management levels and outside vendors
Preferred
CAM experience preferred
