District Sales Manager

Gates Corporation is a leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions. They are seeking a District Sales Manager to work remotely and be responsible for selling and promoting Gates products throughout the assigned territory, focusing on customer relationship development and achieving sales quotas.

Responsibilities

Developing and executing growth strategies for both existing accounts as well as new prospective customers
Accelerating growth of new Gates products and solutions
Pursuing opportunities to expand our business in new markets
Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments within our target markets
Making regular sales calls to pursue and discuss opportunities, providing training and other technical support, and increasing overall mind share
Following up on leads (both self-generated and provided through marketing initiatives)
Timely and accurate utilization of our CRM systems
Developing and maintaining short, mid, and long-term sales plans
Communicating high value sales activity to contribute to effective product and service planning
Providing top-quality, Gates customer service for all clients and prospects
Monitoring and communicating competitive activities to identify opportunities and/or countermeasures

Required

3 years of progressive sales experience or equivalent industry knowledge
High school degree or equivalent work experience is required
Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to drive long distances for extended periods of time
Relocation is not provided
Travel required for this position is 50-70%
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred

College degree in a business or engineering field
Experience in selling Fluid Power and/or Power Transmission products
Firm understanding of the MRO business
CRM experience
