Responsibilities
Support the Quality Incentive Pool (QIP) program by developing, validating, and maintaining data pipelines, measures, and analytical outputs
Analyze business requirements documents (BRDs) and technical specifications to accurately code and implement QIP quality measures
Design, write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Transact-SQL queries to ensure performance, scalability, and data accuracy
Identify data issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend sustainable solutions to improve data quality and reliability
Develop and maintain ETL processes for large datasets, transforming data from raw/bronze layers to curated, business-ready gold layers using a medallion architecture
Leverage cloud analytics platforms (preferably Azure Synapse and/or Microsoft Fabric) including notebooks and PySpark for data processing and analytics
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of data solutions with program objectives
Support data visualization and reporting efforts using tools such as Tableau to present insights to business and leadership teams
Participate in system design reviews, testing, documentation, and ongoing production support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics
4+ years experience at writing and optimizing Transact-SQL code
4+ years experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI, and use of cloud data platforms
Demonstrated experience working on large, complex data sets in enterprise data warehouse or cloud analytics environments
Experience working in healthcare data environments, preferably involving quality measures, value-based programs, or QIP-related initiatives is a plus
Knowledge of JIRA and agile methodology is a plus
Advanced knowledge of Transact-SQL, including query optimization, performance tuning, and complex data modeling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and translate findings into actionable solutions
Experience reviewing and implementing complex Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and technical specifications
Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Microsoft Fabric
Proficiency in cloud-based data processing using notebooks, PySpark, and ETL frameworks
Familiarity with medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold data layers)
Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, including experience with C# or similar languages
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience working in healthcare data environments, preferably involving quality measures, value-based programs, or QIP-related initiatives is a plus
Knowledge of JIRA and agile methodology is a plus
Exposure to data science, and AI/ML modeling concepts is a plus
