Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities
Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of in-process and finished components using appropriate measuring tools and equipment
Determine and apply appropriate inspection methods based on drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements
Verify that parts and assemblies meet specified tolerances, standards, and acceptance criteria before approval or release
Identify, document, and clearly communicate nonconformities to the QHSE Manager and relevant production personnel
Accurately record inspection results, measurements, and findings in designated logs, forms, or quality systems
Prepare and maintain clear inspection reports, nonconformance documentation, and related quality records
Ensure documentation is complete, organized, and retrievable for audits, reviews, or customer requirements
Work closely with machinists, fabricators, assemblers, and production supervisors to resolve quality issues efficiently
Provide constructive feedback to production teams to support quality improvements and reduce rework
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, processes, and defect prevention
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements
Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on the production floor
Maintain an organized approach to inspection tools, documentation, and workspace
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the QHSE Manager in support of quality and operational objectives
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required

Required to stand and walk on the production floor for the majority of the shift (up to 10 hours)
Must be able to traverse the production facility regularly to conduct inspections
Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed
Regular exposure to noise, dust, metal shavings, and moving equipment; PPE is required at all times
Preferred
Strong knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques, tools, and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Understanding of machining, fabrication, welding, and/or mechanical assembly processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage inspection records effectively
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as a team player within a production environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word or similar software for documentation purposes
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or a machine shop environment preferred
