Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per post orders
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting events, and notifying appropriate personnel
Control access by monitoring entry points, observing for unauthorized persons, verifying credentials as directed, and assisting with visitor wayfinding and/or escort requests when authorized
Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with accurate details, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed
Qualification
Required
Meet hospital vaccine requirements
Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment
Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client
Be 21+ years of age
Be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital environment
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
