Responsibilities
Establish and coordinate the overall automation test strategy based on test plans written for each Sprint ticket
Ensure there is an automation test strategy for backlog manual test cases
Lead the design, development, maintenance, and execution of robust and scalable automated test scripts and frameworks (UI, API, backend)
Manage, mentor, and guide junior QA automation engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
Drive the adoption of QA best practices and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for seamless and efficient release cycles
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to triage bugs, manage the defect lifecycle, and report on key quality metrics and progress to leadership
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, troubleshooting problems within the systems under test and ensuring timely resolution
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in QA automation or as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), including experience in a lead or senior role
Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, Playwright or similar)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems
Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL)
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Experience working with team members located in different time zones
Preferred
Basic understanding of AI driven QA Approaches
