The unit clerk is responsible for the clerical functions on the unit, acts as a receptionist for the program, and is under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager
In addition, the clerk will prepare charts for admission, assist with discharge paperwork distribution
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED is required
Experience in a hospital clerical role
Excellent interpersonal communication
Has organizational skills
Skills in organizing and prioritizing work/time
Ability to file alphabetically and numerically
Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone and writing
Ability to use standard office equipment
Ability to read and to write legible
Ability to work well with others in difficult situations
