Responsibilities
Prepares invoices for payment. This includes, but is not limited to, the process of invoice matching with the Materials Management receipt as they are received in the computer system, also matching checks to invoices, and other tasks inherent in the processing of accounts payable
Sorts and interfiles daily incoming mail as well as contacting departments regarding completed Purchase Orders
Prepares special manual checks and associated forms for entry into the computer
Handles miscellaneous correspondence, request, vendor and phone inquiries
Keypunches accounts payable vouchers when assigned
Assists in the accurate and timely maintenance of the Vendor Master File
Is responsible for the orderly control and filing of accounts payable computer reports
Is familiar with and demonstrates Performance Management principles and participates in the process as appropriate
Attends all annual mandatory educational programs as required by position
Employee understands and demonstrates the importance of satisfying the needs of the customer/patient by interacting with him/her in a friendly and caring way, being attentive to the customer's needs, both psychologically and physically, and by taking the initiative to maintain communication with the customer in order to provide a secure and pleasant experience within Arnot Health
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent experience required
Preferred
One to two years of exposure to accounting tasks and computers desirable
