Responsibilities

Support a wide variety of projects that provide a challenging hands-on experience
Design, prototyping, evaluation and testing phase of new product development or enhancement projects
Work under the guidance of the Product Design Engineers to perform prescribed engineering tasks in the product design department
Coordinate with local machine shops to have prototype parts fabricated or modified

Required

Interest or experience with imaging systems, lasers, sensors, cameras, etc
Familiarity with programming languages and scripting
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills
Proactive work ethic and energy
Effective team member and contributor
Bachelor's degree in progress in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with sophomore year completed
Pursuing BS in Engineering with 3.0 GPA or higher preferred
Proficient with SolidWorks or other 3D design tool, Microsoft Word and Excel
Some experience with SolidWorks simulation / FEA is desired
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification and reference checks
With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
US citizenship is required
