Responsibilities
Manage a growing team of seven engineers distributed across North America and work closely with two product managers
Hire and mentor a team of top-tier engineers and foster a culture of predictable delivery of secure, reliable systems used by teams around the world
Work directly with multiple stakeholders, including product managers, other engineering leads, and managers, to ensure we’re building solutions that solve business problems
Guide the build of robust, well-designed, and effective software that solves complex problems
Contribute to the definition and adoption of software engineering practices
Qualification
Required
You have managed engineers with a passion for developing and growing people as they progress in their career journey
You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and leverage agile development principles to consistently deliver results
You are an experienced software engineer who has solved complex engineering problems with an eye towards business results
You are a technical thought leader and can provide code review feedback
You are a great communicator who can partner well with your customers, stakeholders, and your team to keep everyone aligned and motivated
You are forward-thinking and able to analyze and anticipate project, technology, and team solutions to ensure successful project delivery
You have a team-first mentality and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to define the technical direction for our products
You are highly organized
You may have experience with Python, Java, GraphQL, and different datastores, including relational, columnar, and graph
You have embraced AI tools in your workflows and expect your team to leverage AI in their toolchains and, where appropriate, integrate it into the systems they build
