Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance throughout curriculum redevelopment, including instructional design collaboration, assessment validation, and content accuracy review
Support WGU’s competency-based education model and ensure alignment with licensure requirements, market needs, and professional standards for Family Nurse Practitioners
Qualification
Required
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN); Doctorate in Nursing (DNP or PhD) preferred
Current APRN Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification
Current APRN FNP licensure
Minimum of three (3) years employed in curriculum or teaching role in an FNP MSN program
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as an FNP
Teaching and/or course content development experience in program-specific FNP areas
Minimum three (3) years of experience in assessment development and/or online course development
Minimum three (3) years of experience with online and/or competency-based education in an FNP program
Preferred
Market Research: Ability to analyze nursing education trends and competitive positioning
Licensure Knowledge: Strong understanding of state and national licensure requirements for master's-level FNP programs
Program Development: Experience developing programs aligned with regulatory standards and workforce needs
Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
