Responsibilities

You will design and develop control systems for material handling automation projects
You will develop, deploy, and commission Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) code
You will develop graphical user interfaces (HMIs) for material handling systems
You will test and emulate code functionality before on-site deployment and testing
You will troubleshoot PLC code and electrical equipment functionality on-site during commissioning and testing activities
You will collaborate with Electrical Engineering resources to support control network architecture requirements and design
You will define electrical device requirements for system control
You will support estimates for complex module development and system commissioning requirements
You will develop recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction, and improvement in customer satisfaction
You will complete the software quality process through the execution of complex module, subsystem, and system test procedures
You will travel to customer sites and project locations up to 70% of the time, including short-duration assignments and multiple 10/4 rotations as required by project needs

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field required
1-3 years of work experience in the material handling industry or a similar industry required
Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC programming, including GuardLogix; Siemens TIA Portal PLC programming, and Starter
Experience with Ethernet/IP network architecture
Experience interpreting electrical schematic drawings and understanding HMI programming
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and technical specifications
Basic troubleshooting skills for PLC and electrical equipment
