Office Assistant
Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking an Office Assistant to provide professional office and phone support to the Transport Department. The role involves assisting management staff with various office duties, ensuring high levels of customer service excellence at all times.

Responsibilities
60% - Assist management staff with regular duties necessary to maintain the Transport office, including but not limited to: computer work, data and order entry, daily/monthly reconciliation reports, copying, faxing, scanning, emailing, etc
Ability to work a multi-line phone in a professional and courteous manner
Assist management staff in completing special tasks and/or duties, as assigned. Including but not limited to: scheduling meetings, photocopying, special projects, etc
30% - Responsible to ensure completion of individual role-specific tasks as assigned by the LST Supervisor
10% - Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
Intermediate computer and phone skills
The ability to communicate information clearly and politely (both verbally and in writing) while ensuring that the quality and content of the message are relevant to the circumstances
Ability to draft, proofread, and send written communications effectively
Ability and willingness to carefully listen to others by asking appropriate questions and avoiding interruptions
Ability to work confidently, effectively and with discretion with all proprietary information
Excellent phone and people skills to support inquiries
Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
The ability to perform two or more tasks simultaneously or to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information without difficulty
Ability to manage work assignments through prioritization, paying attention to detail, and optimal time management
Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring the work area for safety hazards; monitoring, identifying, and correcting unsafe work procedures or conditions; reporting safety issues to next-level management or safety committee; participating on safety committees and/or attending safety meetings; and following Company policies and hazardous energy and materials procedures, and reporting violations
The ability to establish and maintain rapport, interact comfortably, and work well with co-workers
Ability to remain in a stationary position at least 75% of the time
This is largely a sedentary role requiring typing, use of phone, manual dexterity and fine motor skills for writing and operating office equipment; however, some filing is required
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary
Regularly required to talk or hear
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
