Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of the enterprise semantic layer
Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise usage
Drive domain-driven design aligned with insurance business workflows
Assess and interpret current architecture, create future state roadmaps
Work with governance teams to ensure metadata standards, lineage, glossary alignment
Guide Snowflake/dbt implementation teams on modeling best practices
Define modeling principles, naming standards, architectural guardrails
Participate in architecture discussions and present recommendations to leadership
Ensure model scalability, reusability, and alignment with cross functional data initiatives
Collaborate with onshore/offshore teams
Strong communication & stakeholder management
Ability to lead technical discussions with SMEs, architects, and executives
Ability to mentor offshore teams and ensure modeling consistency
Strong documentation and articulation skills
Comfortable working in fast paced, ambiguous, multi team environments
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in semantic layer design and enterprise/domain driven data modeling
Expertise in Erwin (preferred) or PowerDesigner
Deep experience defining logical/physical models, modeling frameworks, standards, conventions
Strong experience with Snowflake (modeling, optimization, security constructs)
Hands on experience with dbt (models, tests, macros, documentation)
Ability to interpret and redesign current-state architectures
Familiarity with insurance brokerage or P&C insurance data domains
Experience collaborating with Data Governance & EDM teams
Strong SQL; understanding of ELT/ETL patterns
Ability to build subject-area models, semantic views, star schemas
BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
Strong communication & stakeholder management
Ability to lead technical discussions with SMEs, architects, and executives
Ability to mentor offshore teams and ensure modeling consistency
Strong documentation and articulation skills
