26-27 Scholar Support Compliance Coordinator

The Scholar Support Compliance Coordinator will manage compliance functions related to Section 504, IDEA/IEP, and MTSS processes, ensuring effective implementation and communication with families.
Education Management
Responsibilities
Chair 504 initial referral/evaluation planning meetings
Chair 504 reevaluation planning meetings
Chair 504 eligibility meetings and routine 504 meetings
Oversee 504 plan implementation through periodic reviews, grade checks, student performance monitoring, and communication with staff
Maintain the schoolwide accommodations spreadsheet
Provide families with all required documents following 504 meetings
Chair IEP initial referral/evaluation planning meetings
Chair IEP reevaluation planning meetings
Chair IEP eligibility meetings and routine IEP meetings
Schedule all IEP meetings and ensure required participants are notified
Review draft IEPs two weeks in advance; provide feedback to teachers and providers
Maintain the Specialized Instruction and Related Services schedule; verify alignment with each student’s IEP
Communicate changes to IEPs and 504s to General Education staff
Ensure delivery of instruction and related services as written in IEPs
Provide final meeting documents (including PWN) to families
Maintain a draft due/sent log and Special Programs communication log
Order evaluations from contracted vendors as required
Track evaluation completion and follow-up with vendors to ensure timely submission
Upload completed evaluations into Special Programs
Send completed evaluations to families
Take and upload comprehensive meeting notes in Special Programs
Finalize and upload all required documents for both IEP and 504 processes
Serve as the point of contact for MTSS/RTI
Analyze schoolwide, grade-level, and classroom data to identify students for Tier 2/3 consideration
Monitor MTSS plans and progress monitoring documentation
Ensure all students needing support have an active plan and appropriate interventions
Chair beginning-of-year and Tier 2/3 MTSS meetings
Maintain and oversee the schoolwide MTSS referral system
Assist teachers to ensure fidelity of interventions and documentation
Collaborate with the Special Education leader to determine when MTSS students should be referred for Special Education evaluation
Ensure families are informed and engaged regarding Tier 2/3 plans and evaluation rights
Research, select, and monitor effectiveness of intervention programs for reading, math, writing, and self-contained settings
Oversee implementation fidelity of intervention programs and curricula
Maintain accuracy and completeness of all documents in Special Programs
Provide staff training on use of Special Programs systems
Ensure timely, accurate data entry across all Special Education and Section 504 processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, Certification, degree, or licensure in special education
5+ years of teaching experience
Substantial experience in an urban setting to children in historically underserved communities
2+ years of special education coordinator or special education case management experience
Preferred
Master's degree in Education/Special Education
