Chemical Engineering Professional Intermediate
SolveNow is seeking a Chemical Engineering Professional Intermediate to work on projects that enable the heart of their clients' manufacturing in Boise, ID. The candidate will serve as the facilities process/mechanical engineering owner's representative, interfacing with clients and site personnel to drive design and construction documents through the review process.

Responsibilities
You will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients' manufacturing. You and the other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities' infrastructure mechanical systems
Technical engineering responsibilities include design and oversight for piping for equipment water, wastewater, process chemicals and gasses in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. The design may include retrofitting of existing building systems, including engineering calculations; equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification; and support during construction and integration into the factory
As the process chemical/mechanical representative on a multidiscipline design team, your primary duty will be to edit client specifications and standards, review design packages consisting of P&IDs, layout drawings, details, and equipment plans, followed by review of vendor submittals, RFIs, and construction documents
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
At least 2 years of practical application of chemical/mechanical facilities engineering, including ultrapure water, chemical distribution, gas distribution, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, waste drains, pumps, tank storage/design and related chemical/mechanical facilities systems
At least 2 years of design project delivery processes experience
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience
This is primarily a remote position. The successful candidate will need to work onsite for 50% of the first month, thereafter reducing to one week onsite per month
Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances; sit and stand for extended periods; bend, stoop, twist, and crawl; climb ladders; work on catwalks; work in small spaces; and lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Applicant must complete a background check and drug screen and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. Jacobs will not sponsor or continue a visa for this position
Preferred
At least 1 year of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, either their manufacture, installation, or use in rooms
Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Passion for buildings and construction
1 year field experience
EIT or PE license
