Responsibilities
Partner closely with transformation associates and leadership to ensure risk and control considerations are integrated throughout the project lifecycle
Support the documentation, and monitoring of effective first line risk practices and controls within transformational projects
Partner with our compliance and legal teams to safeguard projects from being out of compliance
Help move projects efficiently through risk processes by coordinating with relevant stakeholders, preparing submission materials, and managing the risk assessment process
Analyze data using SQL, Power BI, and Databricks to identify risk trends, control gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Develop clear, actionable risk and control recommendations to support project success and ongoing operational excellence
Ensure comprehensive and organized risk documentation and provide timely updates to leadership and associates
Collaborate with second and third-line risk associates to align on risk policies, standards, and best practices
Stay current on regulatory expectations and industry best practices related to risk management in the banking sector
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, Risk Management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
3+ years of experience in banking risk management, internal controls, or a related analytical role
Strong command of risk and control frameworks, particularly in a banking context
Proficient in writing SQL queries and using analytical tools like Power BI and Databricks
Exceptional organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, with a commitment to proactive collaboration across teams
Preferred
Experience supporting projects through risk assessment or governance processes is highly desirable
