New Business Development Specialist

InMind Services partners with school districts to enhance student and staff well-being through educational and mental health services. The New Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving new business growth by developing partnerships with school districts, managing the sales pipeline, and leading sales efforts from outreach to contract execution.

Education

Responsibilities

Drive new business development with school districts across assigned territories
Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, proposals, presentations, and contract negotiation
Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets
Track sales activity, pipeline progress, and forecasts using CRM tools
Build and maintain strong relationships with superintendents, principals, student services leaders, and district administrators
Represent InMind Services as a trusted partner by understanding district needs, funding cycles, and purchasing processes
Support seamless transition of clients to account managers upon the execution of contracts
Collaborate with marketing and leadership to refine messaging, outreach strategies, and target markets
Provide feedback on market trends, competitive landscape, and district needs
Participate in conferences, networking events, and district meetings as needed

Qualification

Required

3+ years of sales experience, preferably in K–12 education, educational services, or related fields
Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and complex stakeholder relationships
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small, growing team
Willingness to travel regionally for district meetings and events
Willingness to travel nationally for conferences and prospective clients

Preferred

Experience selling services (not just products) to school districts
Familiarity with district procurement, grants, and funding structures
CRM experience (e.g., HubSpot or similar)
Background or interest in student mental health, wellness, or education support services
