Responsibilities
Coordinate full-cycle ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery
Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms
Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements
Track and trace shipments to ensure timely arrival and proactive problem-solving
Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments
Handle ISF filings, customs clearance coordination, and release processes
Manage customer accounts and provide updates, shipment status, and solutions to delays or issues
Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking providers
Maintain accurate records and data entry in the Transportation Management System (TMS)
Support billing and invoicing processes related to ocean import shipments
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in ocean import operations or international freight forwarding
Excellent computer skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within a team setting
Ability to multitask and work efficiently
Strong inter-personal and communication skills, both verbally and written
Preferred
BA or Associated degree preferred
