Email & SMS Marketing Lead
XMONDO Hair is looking for an Email & SMS Marketing Lead to own the strategy, execution, and creative development of their retention marketing channels. This role involves building and optimizing high-performing email and SMS campaigns to drive revenue and enhance customer experiences through smart segmentation and testing.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize and build a full email + SMS campaign calendar (launches, promos, product education, seasonal moments, brand storytelling)
Write and execute campaign briefs and channel plans aligned to business goals
Own end-to-end campaign setup: targeting, QA, scheduling, reporting, and optimization
Build, refresh, and optimize core lifecycle flows including: Welcome series, Browse abandonment, Cart abandonment, Post-purchase education + cross-sell, Replenishment, Winback / churn prevention, VIP / loyalty journeys
Continuously improve flow performance through testing and personalization
Create and maintain segmentation strategies based on behavior and purchase patterns
Develop dynamic customer journeys (new vs returning, VIP tiers, product interest, AOV, engagement levels, etc.)
Use data to refine targeting and reduce list fatigue while increasing conversion
Design email layouts and templates that align with the XMONDO Hair brand (or collaborate with designers and build in-platform)
Ensure campaigns are mobile-first, conversion-focused, and visually elevated
Develop creative concepts for content blocks, product storytelling, and educational messaging
Track and report on channel KPIs: revenue, conversion rate, CTR, deliverability, unsubscribes, SMS opt-out, and engagement
Run A/B tests (subject lines, creative, offer strategy, send time, segmentation, flow logic)
Provide insights and recommendations to improve performance week over week
Work closely with Ecommerce, Creative, Brand, and Product teams to align on launches and promotions
Coordinate messaging across channels to ensure consistent customer experience
Qualification
Required
3+ years experience managing Email + SMS for ecommerce brands
Strong knowledge of Klaviyo (or similar ESP) + SMS platforms
Proven experience building and optimizing lifecycle flows + segmentation strategies
Strong creative judgment: understands how to balance brand storytelling with conversion
Ability to manage multiple campaigns at once and execute quickly with high attention to detail
Comfortable working with metrics and using performance insights to guide decisions
Preferred
Beauty / hair / skincare ecommerce experience
Familiarity with Shopify integrations, retention tools, and customer data platforms
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email edits
Experience improving deliverability and list health practices
Experience building creative testing frameworks
