Senior Presales Consultant - Data Platform
FPT Software Americas is hiring a Senior Presales Consultant to lead customer-facing pre-sales in data, analytics, and business intelligence. This role combines senior analytics expertise with presales leadership, focusing on shaping assessment-led opportunities and translating presales intent into delivery-ready requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead client discovery sessions and workshops to understand business goals, KPI needs, reporting pain points, and constraints
Assess current-state reporting, analytics maturity, data quality, and adoption challenges
Align business and IT stakeholders on priorities, success measures, and practical next steps
Translate findings into a prioritized backlog and phased execution approach
Define assessment scope, approach, timeline, deliverables, and staffing model
Produce assessment outputs that support execution planning, including current-state findings, KPI and reporting recommendations, target-state options, and an implementation roadmap
Position assessments as decision-enabling engagements that lead to implementation work
Partner with delivery leaders to validate feasibility of proposed approaches before presenting to the client
Lead solution strategy for analytics pursuits and act as the pre-sales solution owner through proposal submission and client presentations
Draft and own LoUs, SOWs, proposals, and RFP responses for analytics work
Define in-scope and out-of-scope statements, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and client responsibilities
Create estimates at the right altitude for presales and validate them with delivery
Present recommendations to executive and technical audiences with clear tradeoffs and business value
Partner with sellers on qualification, pursuit strategy, and client meeting preparation
Build and maintain practice collateral including one-pagers, decks, discovery guides, assessment descriptions, and case study summaries
Provide talk tracks and objection handling guidance that positions analytics value in business terms
Collaborate with marketing to define analytics offers, messaging, and campaigns aligned to target industries and buyer pain points
Contribute to thought leadership content and client stories aligned to client approvals and branding guidance
Translate presales scope into delivery-ready requirements including reporting expectations, data sources, integrations, and non-functional needs
Support sales-to-delivery transition through structured walkthroughs, Q and A, and early alignment with delivery teams
Stay engaged through early delivery to protect intent and reduce scope drift
Maintain repeatable templates and playbooks that improve presales speed and consistency for analytics pursuits
Qualification
Required
10 or more years of experience in analytics, BI, data platforms, or reporting-focused solution roles
Demonstrated pre-sales, consulting, or advisory experience in client-facing roles
Proven ability to lead discovery, run workshops, and translate needs into actionable analytics plans
Strong writing skills with experience producing LoUs, SOWs, proposals, or RFP responses
Strong understanding of analytics fundamentals including KPI frameworks, semantic modeling, reporting governance, and data quality
Comfort working in an onshore and offshore delivery model and translating scope into implementation-ready requirements
Strong communication skills across executive, business, and technical audiences
Preferred
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or similar BI platforms
Experience with cloud analytics or modern data environments and common modeling practices
Experience with reporting modernization, report rationalization, or analytics migration efforts
Industry exposure in manufacturing and automotive, healthcare and life sciences, financial services, or retail
