Responsibilities
Build and own control-plane components for scheduling, capacity planning, and orchestration of a distributed, cross-cloud inference platform
Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure supporting high-performance AI applications
Design and implement platform capabilities including:
Latency-aware routing
Model versioning and rollout strategies
Health monitoring and observability
Improve system performance, autoscaling behavior, GPU utilization, and overall resource efficiency
Partner closely with ML, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure the platform meets strict requirements for scale, reliability, and latency
Work hands-on with containerized systems and orchestration tooling (e.g., Kubernetes)
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to strong engineering practices and culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of experience in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering
Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Java
Solid understanding of SaaS platforms and cloud control-plane architectures
Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud networking
Familiarity with ML model serving concepts and inference runtimes
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across functions
Preferred
Experience supporting production ML workloads at scale
Background in model serving, inference platforms, observability, or distributed systems
Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy environments (e.g., healthcare, finance)
Experience working with GPU-backed or performance-sensitive systems
