Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and maintaining the entire campus electrical distribution system network
Maintenance, quality assurance of as-built information, administrator of the campus short circuit model
Provides faults studies to engineering firms
Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) representative for all facilities capital projects designing/planning activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in the engineering discipline related to the area of assignment and at least two (2) years' experience
Some positions may require licensure by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions
Preferred
Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Specialty in power is preferred
At least Two-years' experience working with a utility electrical system
Specific knowledge, skills and abilities in electric distribution systems based on the construction practices, and operations are preferable
Eligible to take the NC Professional Engineering License Exam within Two years from date of hire
