2+ years expToyota North America is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Assembly Engineer to support the development and preparation of new vehicle models at all NAMC sites. The role involves project planning, simultaneous engineering for vehicle assembly, and standardizing systems across all manufacturing centers.

Responsibilities
Project Planning for upcoming model changes
Simultaneous Engineering for vehicle assembly with TMC (Toyota Motor Corporation & TTC (Toyota Technical Center))
Standardize systems and procedures across all NAMC’s
New Technology investigations and proof of concepts
Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMC’s, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, & Plano divisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or related field, or 3 years of relevant experience in automotive manufacturing
At least 2 years of experience working in Production Engineering or Manufacturing Preparation
Experience in 3D design software (AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.)
Ability to work up to 20% overtime when required
Ability to travel up to 30% to all NAMC's as well as Japan/Canada/Mexico
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position
Preferred
Experience in new model launch preparations
Experience in Assembly Engineering (PE/NAMC) or vehicle design
Experience applying safety and ergonomics standards in manufacturing processes
Proficient Microsoft office skills (eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Completion of TBP (Toyota Business Process) through panel
