Designer RME-G - Fire Sprinklers (HOT JOB)
Advantage Technical is seeking a Designer RME-G specializing in Fire Sprinklers. The role involves producing CAD drawings for fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations, and collaborating with engineers and field staff on design and installation.

Responsibilities
Apply NFPA standards and local building regulations to ensure safety, efficiency, and system performance
Develop detailed sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms, coordinating with other building trades. Demonstrate proficiency with hydraulic calculation software and FM Global standards
Interpret construction documents, specifications, and codes to design compliant fire sprinkler systems
Review and approve design documents and shop drawings for accuracy, compliance, and constructability
Perform hydraulic calculations and generate material lists to support fabrication and installation
Prepare and submit design drawings and documentation for permitting, fabrication, and construction
Qualification
Required
NICET Level II is required
RME-G is required
Associate's degree in technical drafting, engineering, or fire protection. High school diploma required
5-7 years of experience in fire sprinkler design, layout, or hydraulic calculations
Strong knowledge of NFPA and related codes and standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD, or similar fire sprinkler design software
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Solid math skills, including geometry and algebra
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented with strong time management and collaboration skills
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites
Preferred
NICET Level III certification is highly preferred
