Summer Impact Fellowship
Texas Housing Conservancy (TxHC) is a nonprofit focused on addressing Texas's housing affordability crisis. The Summer Impact Fellowship offers graduate students the opportunity to develop and execute a self-designed project that aligns with TxHC’s mission and values, gaining exposure to various aspects of nonprofit operations and community engagement.
Responsibilities
Schedule a meeting with the TxHC team to learn about our work, priorities, and current opportunities
Develop and pitch a self-designed summer project aligned with TxHC’s mission and values
Lead and execute your approved project over the course of the summer
Produce deliverables that advance TxHC’s resident programming, investor engagement, community partnerships, data strategy, acquisitions pipeline, or operational capacity
Gain exposure to nonprofit operations, affordable housing preservation, real estate acquisitions, investment analysis, social impact strategy, and community engagement across Texas
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in a Master's‑level program (public policy, urban planning, social work, business, public health, nonprofit management, communications, or related fields)
Strong ability to design, propose, and independently manage a project from concept to completion
Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
Creativity, curiosity, and comfort operating in an innovative, fast‑growing nonprofit environment
