Responsibilities

Snow Plowing & Maintenance: Keep roads clear and safe during winter storms
Street Upkeep: Operate heavy equipment for sweeping, weed control, asphalt repair, and more
Fleet Support: Assist with maintaining Town vehicles and equipment
Emergency Support: Be “on call” for snowplowing, water leaks, and other urgent needs

Required

Possess a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire and be insurable under Town standards
Live within 45 miles of the Town of Eagle Public Works Facility (1050 Chambers Avenue, Eagle, CO). Total travel time should not exceed 60 minutes at posted driving speeds
Pass a pre-hire drug test, motor vehicle check, and criminal background check
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending)
2–5 years' experience in street maintenance or operating heavy equipment required for Maintenance Technician-Operator II
CO Class B CDL and basic computer skills required for Maintenance Technician-Operator II

Preferred

Some experience with maintenance, landscaping, or construction preferred for Maintenance Technician-Operator I
Ability to obtain a Colorado Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6–9 months preferred for Maintenance Technician-Operator I
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
