Senior Business Development & Marketing Specialist

Talent Acquisition LLC is a mid-sized law firm seeking a Senior Business Development & Marketing Specialist to support firm-wide growth initiatives. The role involves executing day-to-day business development and marketing activities, collaborating with attorneys and firm leadership to enhance the firm's brand and drive revenue-generating opportunities.

Responsibilities

Lead and support responses to RFPs, pitches, and presentations, including drafting proposals, team materials, and tailored meeting collateral
Ensure marketing materials, practice descriptions, and attorney profiles are current, accurate, and consistent with brand standards
Track and report on business development pipeline activity, including prospects, pitches, and outcomes
Support preparation for attorney business development meetings and client opportunities
Maintain practice-specific matter descriptions, project lists, and client data; lead periodic data cleanup efforts
Conduct client, market, and competitive research to inform business development strategies
Identify speaking opportunities and thought leadership placements
Provide periodic reporting on marketing and business development activities to firm leadership
Design and lead business development programs and training materials to support attorney growth in areas such as: Personal branding and thought leadership, Networking and relationship-building strategies, Client relationship management
Plan, coordinate, and execute client-facing and internal events, including seminars, conferences, receptions, sponsorships, and webinars
Manage webinar production from planning through execution, including vendor coordination, speaker preparation, CLE issuance, and follow-up
Draft invitations, manage mailing lists and RSVPs, track event ROI, and coordinate branded materials
Monitor departmental budgets related to events and marketing initiatives and process vendor payments
Support internal office events as needed
Draft, edit, and proofread practice descriptions, attorney biographies, press releases, client alerts, announcements, and internal communications
Manage public relations initiatives, including media outreach, story pitching, and coverage tracking
Develop and maintain marketing collateral such as firm overviews, brochures, presentations, and resumes
Prepare and manage submissions for legal rankings, directories, and awards, including strategy, timelines, and tracking
Maintain and update website, intranet, and social media content to ensure accuracy and consistency
Build and manage a social media calendar and coach attorneys on engagement best practices
Create visual assets using design tools and enforce brand standards across materials
Design, write, and distribute email announcements and promotional communications
Support automation and contact list management

Required

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field preferred
Minimum of seven years of experience in marketing and/or business development within a law firm, professional services firm, or agency
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities, with experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data and translate insights into actionable strategies
High attention to detail, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential information
Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable working independently
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to adjust hours and travel as needed for events or business needs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

Experience with CRM systems, website CMS platforms, design tools, webinar platforms, and email/marketing automation tools preferred
