Manager, Software Engineering (Temporary)
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering (Temporary) to lead the development of innovative solutions in personalized medicine. This role involves overseeing the design of infrastructure, managing a software development team, and translating product roadmaps into scalable software solutions.

Design and adhere to software development processes and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related degree
5+ years of experience with JavaScript (ES6), React, Node.js, AngularJS, WebGL, Docker, and Python
5+ years of experience managing a software development team of 5 or more people using modern software development management processes (e.g., Agile dev)
5+ years of experience working with Jira, GitLab, or similar applications
5+ years of experience working with a product management team to facilitate the translation of product requirements into engineering specifications and sprint tasks
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills
Desire to work on a highly complex infrastructure that requires tight integration and communication with the computational, mathematical, and biophysical scientists
Experience in diverse technologies and technical challenges, in services development, systems engineering, and distributed PaaS/SaaS infrastructure
