Responsibilities

Leads team of 5-7 analysts working on a portfolio of complex and diverse projects including support of executive leadership initiatives
Mentors, develops, and supports individual contributors. Manages performance of highly technical Operational Analysts at varying levels of experience and career progression, ranging from Associate to Lead
Guides and supports analysts in their professional, technical, and analytical development
Works with BI&A Leadership to set team goals, evaluate performance, and align analyses to the needs of the business
Prioritizes and supervises analysis across several functional areas. Prioritization may occur directly with stakeholders at all levels of the business, including the Executive Leadership team
Leads analysts in producing timely, relevant, and accurate analyses of operational and business data and processes at the level of fidelity required for the decisions at hand
Impacts business results and supports decision making at the operational, senior management, and executive levels through analytical modelling, visualization, and succinct communication of complex analytical concepts
Investigates, understands, and contributes to the departmental knowledge of diverse areas of the business and operation
Authors memos or presentations summarizing/explaining insights effectively and delivers work directly to the Chief Executive Office, Chief Financial Officer, and other executives of the organization
Practices active listening and seeks feedback routinely to build business partner relationships and to foster trust in analytical insights and the recommendations of decision support tools and analyses
Works with minimal supervision
Has a working knowledge of the capabilities of the analytical toolkit, including but not limited to statistics, analytics, operations research, data visualization, machine learning, and business finance
Leads the team in adaptation of new tools and techniques as needed to produce the best possible results
Performs and supervises analysis of both strategic and tactical business and operational questions while working independently, pragmatically, and with reliance on creative analytical curiosity. Analysis of data involves highly complex business and operational opportunities. Collaborates with business partners to analytically explore business and operational problems. Develops and maintains reports and dashboards to support business partners. Explores, understands, and acts to resolve operational issues through increasing business acumen. Simplifies complex analytical models/insights/solutions in presentations for executive leadership. Recommends solutions based on analytical insights

Required

Master's in Data Analytics or Computer Science
8-10 years of experience
Strong verbal and written presentation skills
Understanding of a wide variety of analytical techniques, technologies, and capabilities
Ability to understand and master new concepts quickly
Exceptional creative problem-solving abilities
Detail oriented and proven ability to prioritize multiple objectives in a dynamic environment with constantly shifting priorities
Initiative, confidence, and the drive to achieve results without explicit direction or detailed instruction
Ability to prioritize a large number of tasks in a rapidly changing environment
Capability to mentor and develop technically proficient individual contributors
Working knowledge of analytical platforms such as SAS, Python, AWS, R, and/or visualization platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI

Preferred

Interest in and/or familiarity with aviation (commercial or private)
