The Development Operations Organization is seeking a highly motivated engineering student to join the Advanced Measurements Research and Development group as a summer intern at the Middletown, Connecticut facility
This position provides challenging assignments that support the development of new measurement techniques and diagnostic capabilities used to verify the structural integrity of gas turbine engines
Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include sensor development, hardware/software design and assembly, bench testing, electrical system design, algorithm development, instrumentation installations, test monitoring and report generation
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a degree program in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or computer engineering or a related field
Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems
Preferred
Previous engineering intern experience at an aerospace company
Experience with testing, manufacturing, and technical group projects
