Responsibilities
Identify and prioritize high‑impact target accounts and execute focused strategies to establish strong footholds and expand Beckhoff’s presence
Build executive and engineering relationships within strategic prospects, uncovering new opportunities through deep understanding of customer goals and operational challenges
Develop clear account plans outlining objectives, opportunity paths, risks, and competitive positioning
Actively partner with fellow engineers in the region while developing accounts
Lead high‑potential OEM pursuits by coordinating multi‑disciplinary Beckhoff teams and ensuring structured, aligned engagement throughout the sales cycle
Guide opportunities with disciplined follow‑through, clear communication, and detailed ownership of timelines, actions, and decision points
Improve proposal‑to‑production success rates by driving proactive communication, expectation setting, and customer accountability
Partner with Regional Sales, Applications, Engineering, and other internal resources to ensure consistent messaging and unified execution in critical pursuits
Communicate opportunity requirements, milestones, and risks across teams to maintain alignment and momentum
Support internal planning and strategy reviews by providing customer insights and progress updates
Maintain and expand strategic relationships with key decision‑makers at targeted accounts to influence specifications and long‑term adoption of Beckhoff solutions
Facilitate clear and proactive communication with customers around technical requirements, timelines, and commercial expectations
Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and opportunity documentation for visibility and planning
Share market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer trends to support regional strategy and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field; or a Business degree with relevant automation industry experience
Proven success in new account development with a strong “hunter” mindset focused on generating and advancing large, complex opportunities
Confident communicator capable of navigating candid conversations, setting expectations, and holding customers accountable
Experience managing conflict, resolving misalignment, and guiding customers through technical and commercial challenges
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross‑functional, geographically distributed teams and build strong internal relationships
Experience developing structured account plans that define objectives, pathways, and metrics for success
Ability to lead multi‑disciplinary pursuit teams, define roles and responsibilities, and maintain structured timelines, milestones, and customer documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt messaging for technical and executive stakeholders
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with discipline
Strong problem‑solving skills with a solutions‑oriented mindset
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales or industry-related role required
Experience utilizing a structured sales methodology (any methodology is acceptable; consistent use is required)
