New Business Development Associate
American Consumer Shows (ACS) is seeking a New Business Development Associate to work with the Director of New Business Development in identifying and securing new market opportunities within the consumer trade show and live events space. The role involves outreach, relationship-building, and driving growth of ACS’s event portfolio.

Responsibilities
Identify and qualify new business opportunities including new markets and venues for expansion
Build and manage a robust pipeline of new prospects
Execute high-volume outbound prospecting strategies (email, phone, LinkedIn, networking)
Conduct discovery conversations with new venues to understand obstacles, requirements, budgets, and success metrics
Develop tailored proposals aligned to business objectives
Close new business deals to meet or exceed aggressive growth targets
Negotiate contracts and costs for event space and decorations
Provide a clear handoff of sold business to operations and sales teams
Partner with Event Operations, Sales, and Account Management teams to ensure seamless execution
Maintain and foster existing business relationships with venues and event partners to ensure ongoing success
Stay current on industry trends
Monitor competitive events, models, and pricing strategies
Share market feedback to inform events programming, pricing, and sponsorship design
Maintain accurate prospect, pipeline, and activity data in CRM
Track KPI’s including pipeline value, conversion rates, and new deals closed
Prepare forecasts and performance reports for leadership
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or new business development experience
Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
Solutions-oriented and consultative sales approach
Solid relationship-building and networking capabilities
Creative thinker and deal maker; ability to 'open doors'
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Energetic, personable, and persistent
Thrives in a fast-paced environment with aggressive goals and deadlines
Familiarity with CRM systems (SalesForce, HubSpot, ACT, etc.)
Comfortable with a primarily phone-based role
