Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents such as letters, contracts, estate planning documents, and court forms
Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
Perform clerical tasks such as scanning, photocopying, filing, and data entry
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
Organize and maintain client files (physical and electronic)
Assist with document management, case tracking, and deadline monitoring
Conduct light legal research and compile supporting materials
Communicate with clients regarding document collection, appointments, and case updates as needed
Provide administrative support to attorneys and team members
Qualification
Required
Prior experience as a legal assistant or administrative professional
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent typing, proofreading, and document formatting skills
Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document types
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal communication
Preferred
law firm experience preferred
Adobe Acrobat preferred
estate planning or small firm experience a plus
