Financial Analyst (contractor, long-term)
Embraer is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide financial and cost accounting functions, focusing on improving efficiency and streamlining processes. The role involves performing financial analysis, supporting departments with cost accounting data, and assisting with the implementation of corporate policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Perform specialized financial and cost analysis (e.g., cash-flow analysis, variance analysis); prepare related reports (e.g., financial statements, management reports) as requested by company’s management and shareholders
Support departments throughout the company with financial analysis, cost accounting data and improvement recommendations
Assist with the implementation of company’s corporate policies and procedures. Review financial and internal controls to determine whether such policies and procedures are adequate to meet management objectives
Support the billing process, review the accuracy of prices and terms, prepare price/volume analysis, calculate annual price escalation
Play active role on the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts devising multiple scenarios and 'what-if' analysis. Participate in the implementation and operation of company’s planning and reporting software (on ad-hoc basis or as part of structured projects)
Assist with preparation of audited financial statements in accordance with applicable Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
Assist with the accounting functions including preparation of journal entries; reconciliation of all accounting ledgers; fixed asset and inventory accounting; preparation of trial balance; bank account reconciliation
Assist with the preparation of tax forms and returns, as well as keep tax, legal and statutory records updated
Other Ad-hoc requests
Provide support and reports for Manager, Finance
Exercise diligence and maintain professional skepticism when performing and overseeing the activities and processes under his/ her responsibility, including but not limited to: (I) maintaining focus on attention to the accuracy and validity of data; (II) requesting additional documents when necessary in order to support these analyses; (III) identifying, communicating, escalating and assisting with the resolution of for potential 'red flags', and/or issues related to compliance with the Company's policies and procedures. Diligence and professional skepticism should be applied regardless of prior reviews and approvals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance or related area required
Generally, 2-4 years of cost accounting and financial analysis experience required
Experience in performing general administrative support activities related to aircraft programs
Demonstrated leadership abilities; teamwork; strategic thinker
Knowledge of cost and financial accounting principles, practices and procedures
PC skills – strong Excel and Power Point skills required
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Initiative and achievement orientation
Preferred
Previous Access and financial planning and reporting systems experience preferred
Bi-lingual English/Portuguese preferred
