Responsibilities
Conduct proactive field investigations and patrols to identify zoning and property maintenance violations
Educate property owners, business operators and residents on city codes and compliance requirements
Serve as the point of contact for complaints, review inspection reports, document violations and issue notices
Represent the City at Special Magistrate hearings when required and collaborate with internal and external partners
Maintain accurate records, support departmental initiatives and uphold the City’s service standards
Qualification
Required
A strong commitment to public service and customer support
The ability to interpret municipal ordinances, regulations and procedures with tact and professionalism
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
A F.A.C.E Level I certification
Valid driver's license
Willingness to conduct field work
Preferred
Experience in code enforcement or a related investigative/inspection role
