Responsibilities
Managing and supporting the security posture of Castle Biosciences' IT environment
Reviewing security dashboards, alerts, and threat activity
Serving as an escalation point for SNOC and Help Desk security-related issues
Engineering, maintaining, and improving security controls across on-premises and cloud-based environments
Focusing approximately 60% of the role on security projects, system improvements, and troubleshooting complex security and network-related issues
Designing and supporting secure infrastructure
Collaborating with Systems Administration, Cloud, and Network teams to ensure secure connectivity
Leading security-focused projects
Developing and delivering cybersecurity training and awareness initiatives
Documenting changes
Evaluating new security technologies and vendors
Contributing to the continuous improvement of the organization's security posture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field
4+ years of experience in information security engineering, security operations, or cybersecurity infrastructure
Familiarity with regulatory and security standards such as HIPAA, PII, SOX, and general security frameworks
Experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center tools
Certifications: One or more of the following or equivalent: CompTIA Security+, GIAC (GSEC or similar), Cisco CCNA Security or equivalent
