Responsibilities
Research, develop, design, and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical materials, components, and assemblies
Conduct feasibility studies to assess functionality, capability, and design performance
Develop new product concepts from initial design through market release
Coordinate project activities and provide direction to support personnel
Maintain detailed technical documentation throughout all research and development phases
Investigate and evaluate existing and emerging technologies for product improvement
Review and coordinate vendor activities to support development efforts
Research cost-effective and alternative approaches to existing processes
Prepare and submit technical documentation, including patents and professional articles
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Zero to six years of relevant engineering experience
Foundational knowledge of mechanical or electromechanical engineering principles
Experience supporting product development in a regulated environment
Strong documentation and technical writing skills
Preferred
Experience supporting medical device product development
Familiarity with feasibility testing and design evaluation methods
Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
