People Operations Partner/HR Generalist
BlackSky is a real-time intelligence company that operates a cutting-edge space-based intelligence platform. They are seeking a People Operations Partner to support onboarding, offboarding, and various HR functions while ensuring a great experience for new employees.

Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for pre- and post-onboarding activities to ensure a great experience for new employees
Ensure successful completion of new hire onboarding processes, including I-9 verification, policy acknowledgements, IT setup, etc
Oversee new hire orientation, including training and documentation
Manage the employee offboarding process including scheduling exit interviews, offboarding paperwork, equipment returns and more
Respond to HR-related inquiries, ensuring accurate interpretation of policies and procedures
Process routine HR transactions through HRIS/ADP, supporting areas such as position changes and other employee related updates
Perform detailed HRIS data management, audits and reporting with a high sense of quality data control and accuracy
Collaborate with payroll to document and update employee record changes, including compensation and benefits
Maintain organized HR digital files and record keeping
Provide SOX support in partnership with payroll and other controls
Perform employment verifications as needed
Review and reconcile benefit invoices monthly
Process 401k funding
Serve as the main point of contact for leave management
Administer and enhance the company’s wellness program
Support employee engagement programs: order gifts for employee special occasions, birthday and anniversary recognition and participate in planning future programs
Create and distribute employee surveys as needed
Participate in departmental initiatives and projects
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with all employment laws, company policies, and contractual requirements
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
At least 3-5 years of related HR experience to include: onboarding, offboarding, managing HRIS data, and supporting employees with benefits and payroll questions
Proficiency with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and payroll software
Proficient knowledge of HR procedures and policies
Comfortable taking initiative of projects and managing them from start to finish
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention-to-detail and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience working in the technology or space industry
Previous experience at a public company and partnering with legal and payroll on SOX controls
Experience using ADP Workforce Now
Greenhouse ATS knowledge
PHR or SHRM-CP
