Responsibilities
Support customers and contractors by answering inquiries and guiding them through permitting and utility processes
Process fees, contracts, service orders, and daily cash reconciliations accurately
Coordinate permits, inspections, developer agreements, and project documentation
Maintain and digitize records in systems like Accela and GIS to keep projects organized and compliant
Collaborate with engineering staff and City departments to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward
Qualification
Required
Detail-driven problem solver who enjoys helping customers, keeping projects moving, and turning complex utility processes into clear, organized solutions
Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or related field required; Bachelor's preferred
Relevant experience may substitute for education
Experience in permitting, utilities, construction support, public works, or municipal services is a plus
Strong customer service and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to interpret regulations, technical documents, and property records
Preferred
Valid Indiana Driver's License (if operating a City vehicle)
Experience with systems such as Accela, GIS/ArcMap, Application Xtender, or similar permitting/database tools
