Responsibilities
Facilitate and moderate in-person user studies with complex, detailed, and dynamic protocols
Gather system data from test devices, validate data fidelity, and assess system performance
Provide a positive, high-energy experience for all participants and ensure protocol compliance, documenting deviations and issues
Track study progress and participation metrics, provide timely updates, and raise study-related issues
Prepare, troubleshoot, and maintain study devices; install software and use SSH/terminal/command line for basic troubleshooting
Manage participant correspondence, recruitment, and scheduling
Work with data consumers to streamline data collection processes; assist with basic data processing and visualizations
Distribute surveys, review and collate responses and other feedback
Set up and break down study session areas; oversee environment setup and communicate maintenance needs
Flexibility to run study sessions between 7:30 am – 6:30 pm; occasional outdoor work (4–6 hours) in Cupertino may be required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related major) with 2+ years of experience required
Previous work experience requiring high engagement with people
Experience troubleshooting computers and consumer electronics
High attention to detail
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Familiarity with Apple products is a plus
