Responsibilities
Guide architectural choices and ensure technical viability
Communicate clearly with stakeholders on solution decisions
Ensure performance, security, and scalability in designs
Produce architectural documentation and technical assessments
Qualification
Required
Solid experience leading and managing multi-database migration projects (on-prem/cloud, cross-RDBMS) with minimal downtime and risk
Expert in designing OLTP and OLAP systems including normalization, indexing, and concurrency, and ER modeling and dimensional design
In-depth knowledge of at least two major RDBMS platforms (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
Solid advanced knowledge in HA/DR, cost-control patterns, and databases security
Advanced experience in performance analysis, query optimization, execution plan analysis, and troubleshooting complex database issues
Solid experience architecting RDS, Aurora, and EC2-hosted databases within the broader AWS ecosystem
Skilled designing architecture diagrams, technical documentation, runbooks, and migration playbooks
Proficiency in Python scripting and automation for workloads
Experience with IaC, CI/CD, security and FinOps
6+ years RDBMS architecture experience
3+ years of AWS architecture experience
Advanced English (minimum C1)
Preferred
Hybrid cloud expertise
Prior consulting/professional services experience
AWS certifications (Professional/Specialty)
Bachelor's/Master's degree in a related field
