Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician
The City of Seattle is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians to join their team, responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment across various city facilities. The role includes operating computerized controls, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety and cleanliness at job sites.

Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and install HVAC equipment
Collaborate on troubleshooting and repairing DDC and pneumatic controls
Operate computerized controls
Maintain documentation for services performed and shop materials used
Respond to facilities related inquiries and emergencies
Maintain cleanliness and safety of work and jobsite spaces
Qualification
Required
2 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, OR 2 years of technical school HVAC coursework
City of Seattle Grade Ill Steam Engineer's license (required within 90 days of hire)
City of Seattle Refrigeration Mechanic's License class A (required within 90 days of hire)
L06A or EL07 Washington State Electrician Specialty License (required within 90 days of hire)
EPA CFC Universal Certificate (required within 90 days of hire)
Current Washington State driver's license or be able to obtain one by the start date
Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and/or solve problems independently
The ability to work within a diverse workforce
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting or alone
Demonstrated ability to follow verbal or written instructions
Demonstrated ability to organize work, solve medium to complex problems and manage competing priorities
Work experience in maintaining and operating digital control systems
Must comply with PPE standards and all safety guidelines
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
May be called after-hours for emergency repairs
